[Case Study of Problem Solving] Hydraulic Parts Manufacturer

Solve the problem of wanting to align the inner diameter as much as possible after processing with the two-step machining of "KIP-200"!

The hydraulic component manufacturer was facing a challenge in honing the inner diameter of φ14 valve bodies, particularly wanting to align the inner diameter as much as possible after processing. In response, we proposed a two-step processing using the "KIP-200." As a result, we were able to keep the inner diameter tolerance within φ3μm after processing and reduce the management of the matching spools from 5 ranks to 3 ranks. The automotive parts manufacturer wants to perform honing processing on a workpiece made of a composite material of ELCH2 and SUS304. However, other honing methods have faced issues such as clogging and the creation of steps at the joints of the composite material. Therefore, we propose the "KIP-50" dual-head automatic machine (2 processes). After implementation, a cycle time of 33 seconds per piece was achieved with good processing accuracy.
